Former Sports CS Ababu Namwamba is among those who are favoured to make a comeback to the Cabinet, as per the latest research by TIFA.
Ababu Namwamba is among the top four former Sports Cabinet Secretaries who are favoured to return to the Cabinet by Kenyans.
According to the latest TIFA Research, Kenyans would like Kithure Kindiki (Interior), Eliud Owalo (ICT), Ezekiel Machogu (Education) and Namwamba (Sports) to make a comeback when President William Ruto reconstitutes his Cabinet.
Kindiki and Owalo are the highly favoured at 61 and 48 percent respectively while Machogu and Namwamba are at 23 and seven percent in that order.

Namwamba declared his nearly two-year tenure a success, saying the sports sector has seen significant changes and improvements since he took over in October 2022.
“I believe I have done a fantastic job,” Namwamba told KBC TV last weekend.

Former Sports CS Ababu Namwamba has listed some of his achievements during his tenure as he believes sports is in a better place than when he found it.
“We have revived sports, we got FIFA to lift the suspension on football, AFCON is coming to Kenya for the first time, see how motorsport is coming back to life, we have taken a team to the FIFA World Cup [Junior Starlets] for the first time in Kenyan history.
“It is a success story all over the place but it up to the President to decide how he wishes to move forward from this point.”
