The tactician added that they will also be able to enjoy the presence of all the national team players.

After finishing seventh in the 2022/23 Kenya Cup season, Strathmore Leos Head Coach Louis Kisia is anticipating a good show in the oncoming season.

During the previous season, the Leos played 11 games and managed only four wins but Kisia has promised better results going forward.

Speaking to Pulse Sports, he disclosed that the team is busy gearing up for the next season by engaging in gym sessions and added that some of the players participated in the Barthes Trophy and the just concluded World Under-20 Trophy.

He added that the youngsters have been training under reigning Kenya Cup champions Kabras Sugar head coach Carlos Katywa and KCB head coach Curtis Olago who have imparted great skills to the young squad.

So far, so good with my 15’s boys…most of them are doing their gym pre-season training and I have been following keenly. There is good commitment from the boys and they are aware that rugby is all about strength.

Luckily, Strathmore has provided a gym for us where they are able to train without constraints. They have sacrificed their time and I am glad.

We also have around four or five players who play in the under-20 side and they have gotten the exposure through training under different coaches and playing different countries. They will be able to teach the others some of the skills they have accumulated,” Kisia told Pulse Sports.

The tactician added that they will also be able to enjoy the presence of all the national team players since Shujaa were relegated and they will not be having many international assignments.

Unfortunately, Shujaa were relegated and the players will not be having many international assignments.

This means that we shall be using all of our national team players and I am glad that my boys like George Ooro and Brunson Madigu will be available. We want to make it to the final…that’s our plan,” he said.
