FOOTBALL Kenyan defender Salim Hamisi thrilled to open Tanzanian chapter
A former Nzoia Sugar FC player is excited about their next challenge at a Tanzania Premier League outfit.
He disclosed that the legacy of the school is based on education and he is not at liberty to bring in players whenever he wants.
“It’s very different with regard to how I transfer players because my legacy and that of the university is education and I can only be able to transfer and bring in new players when I have slots for scholarships,” he told Pulse Sports.
Kisia added that he is entitled to 25 slots of scholarships which are based on the placement dependent on the number of people who graduate in a year.
“For the previous years, for instance, last year there were players who graduated and that’s when I brought in new players. I brought in Victor Odhiambo, Gabriel Ayimba, and Nigel Amaitsa among other players,” he said.
He added that for next year, he will have to go back to his records and check the number of players who will be completing their education and then he will be able to recruit more players.
“But I always have my targets…at the moment I am looking for forwards. If I get like two formidable forwards, I wouldn’t mind picking them and training them as they await to get admission into the university,” he said.
