In an epic and dramatic clash, Daniil Medvedev overcame Alexander Zverev 6-7(5), 7-6(5), 7-5 in 3 hours and 17 minutes to reach the quarterfinals.
Medvedev regrouped from losing the first set in a tiebreak to winning the second set, also in a tiebreak, and then taking the deciding set, extending his match-winning streak to 17.

Jannik Sinner had a smooth victory over Stan Wawrinka 6-1, 6-4 to reach the quarterfinals of the Indian Wells for the first time.
