VOLLEYBALL KVF releases list of aspirants ahead of elections on April 29

Malkia Strikers head coach Paul Bitok will be going into the polls unopposed in the Deputy President seat.

Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) Secretary General Ben Juma Chepkechir has released the names of the aspirants who will be vying for various seats in the national elections scheduled for Saturday, April 29.

In the list provided, acting KVF President Charles Nyaberi will be vying for the presidency position against current Deputy President David Kilundo and former Kenyan international Edward Kisaka.

Malkia Strikers head coach Bitok will be going into the polls unopposed in the Deputy President seat, as Ibrahim Efumbi will be up against the current KVF treasurer Kenneth Tonui for the Second Vice President position.

Kenya Pipeline team manager Hellen Gichuru is unopposed for the Vice President gender seat. In the Secretary-General position, the current Deputy Secretary General Catherine Mabwi will challenge the current Sports Organising Secretary Ismail Chege.

On his part, Samuel Gacharira will go unopposed in the Deputy Secretary General position.

Equity Bank Team Manager Nicholas Bitok will battle it out with Benard Musumba for the Treasurer position. Esther Mutemi is unopposed for the Deputy Treasurer position.

John Oronje, who will be seeking the Sports Organising Secretary position, will face John Odundo.

Meanwhile, KDF team manager Alfred Chedotum, who is currently an Executive Committee Member, will be vying for the Deputy Sport Organising Secretary, and he will be up against Agnes Masalange, Gideon Chenje, Arthur Kimani, and Wilfred Mutuma.

The Executive Committee Member position has attracted four aspirants, with three slots up for grabs. KFS Team Manager Wachira Gatuiria, Dorcas Ndasaba, DCI Team Manager Neddy Talam, and Vihiga County Coach Samuel Mugata will be contesting for the slot.

On her part, Kenya Prisons captain Brackcides Agala will go unopposed in the female athletes' representative post, while the Kenya Prisons duo of Daniel Kiptoo and Charles Bosire will be battling for a position in the men's slot.
