A journey of how Hassan spent 15 hours from Lagos in Nigeria to Chengdu to cover the World University Games.

Hassan continued his journey from Lagos to Chengdu in Adisa Ababa.

The Journey to Chengdu, China was full of fun and excitement. The hospitality with team Brazil on the flight was top-notch.

The onboarding started at exactly, 12am in Adisa Ababa, Ethiopia, with passengers entering; most of the passengers are student-athletes from Brazil and Argentina.

All passengers boarded, and a 10-hours journey was underway.

Lagos to Chengdu

The journey commenced at exactly 00:45 and passengers were in high spirits as we embarked on the journey. I was the only black person in my row and all were gisting and talking to each other but I had no one to talk to.

What about my friend Julieta? Her seat and row was far away from where I sat and there was no way we could connect.

The little screen in my front didn't work. In a bid to keep myself busy, I remembered that I had downloaded a movie; I switched to the movie after discovering that there was still enough time.

It's midnight and I should be sleeping by then but I was unable to sleep due to unknown things.

Still on what to do, I sighted some athletes playing games (Card and Ludo); that's how the spirit led me to join them.

Getting to them, I kept watching them before I later decided to join them; we played together and had fun before I knew it, we are in Chengdu.

The crew announced that everyone should remain seated and prepare for landing, which we all did.

Landed in Chengdu, Custom check

We landed safely at the Chengdutianfu International Airport, Chengdu. After we landed, we proceeded to Customs check, where we were checked and cleared.

After being cleared, the Games volunteer showed up. I, Julieta from Argentina and Pedro from Brazil told them that we were part of the international young reporters; boom, they were excited because they had been expecting us, and that's how they gave us a warm welcome.

The helped with our luggage to the bus down to Hotel.

The Young Reporters are in the same hotel with FISU Family, the Holiday inn Hotel.
