Paris is known as the City of Love and as the Olympics start, love will definitely be in the air as a number of couples compete at the games.
Noah Lyles & Junelle Bromfield
Multiple world champion Noah Lyles is among the athletes set to light up the Olympics but while he will be competing for Team USA, his girlfriend Junelle Bromfield will be turning out for Jamaica.
Lyles is hot favourite to win Olympics gold in 100m and 200m and will also be part of America’s 4x100m relay team. He is still also angling for a spot in the 4x400m in what would be an unprecedented achievement if he can make it and earn gold.
Jamaica's Bromfield, a 4x400m relay World and Olympic medallist, will take to the athletics track to compete in the 400m for her country and she will be cheering Lyles, knowing that he has her back as well.
Rossella Fiamingo & Gregorio Paltrinieri
Italian fencing athlete Rossella Fiamingo, an Olympic silver and bronze medallist, will be seeking for a first gold at the games and will have the backing of her swimmer boyfriend Gregorio Paltrinieri, who has the full set of Olympic medals.
"I am excited as if I am the one competing,” Fiamingo told Olympics.com over the prospect of competing at the same event with her partner.
Elina Svitolina & Gael Monfils
Tennis players Elina Svitolina of Ukraine, and home crowd favourite Gael Monfils, have a new fan supporting their endeavours at Stade Roland Garros, which is hosting both tennis and boxing at Paris 2024, with 21-month-old daughter Skai now part of their squad.
The two will take to the tennis court to compete for an Olympics medal and just like Lyles and Bromfield, the couple is representing different countries, Svitolina for Ukraine and Monfils for France.
Joao Chianca & Luana Silva
As per Olympics.com, Brazilian surfers Joao Chianca and Luana Silva, will also take to the waves in Teahupo'o in Tahiti.
The two hope their presence will inspire each other to Olympics glory when the games take centre stage.
Dominik Cerny & Hana Burzalova
Race walkers Dominik Cerny and Hana Burzalova from Slovakia have already decided to do their wedding immediately after the Olympics.
The two will reparent their country at the Games but hope to walk down the isle when the pressure of hunting medals is over.
