As Malkia Strikers jetted out of the country on Saturday, July 8, they had two assignments lined up and head coach Paul Bitok is confident they will excel in both.
The team will be contesting for top honours in the FIVB Challenger Cup set for France from Thursday 27 to Sunday 30 July and the African Senior Women's Volleyball Championship slated for Sunday 6 to Friday 18 August.

The team is currently in Morocco for high-performance training and Bitok has observed immense improvement from the young squad. He revealed that they have been working mostly on their setting techniques, reception, blocks, and the team system.
“The players adjusted well and they are already doing well as per our projections in the second phase. We have also achieved a lot of improvement with regard to upcoming players who are competing to get the finals slot of the best 14 players
"Our seasoned players are going strong to make it in that list thus posing a headache for the technical bench to come up with the final list next week Thursday,” he said.
As a form of preparation for the two events, Bitok revealed they had lined up two friendly matches on Friday and Saturday at the Rabat International University with the Moroccan national team who are also preparing for the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
