The women’s national volleyball team alias Malkia Strikers have quenched their eight-year Women's African Nations Championship thirst to clinch a record-extending 10th title after their dominant show at the just concluded final in Cameroon.
In their final game, Malkia Strikers were up against arch-rivals Egypt and they managed to silence them in straight sets of 25-22, 25-20, and 25-14.

Nairobi City Stars are set to unleash the Japanese striker next season after impressing them on trials.
Team Kenya has always been unfortunate, finishing second since the 2015 edition where they last won and they have this time around proven to be unbeatable.
The hosts, Cameroon, had won three consecutive times, in 2017, 2019, and 2021 but unfortunately were forced to settle for third place in this year’s edition of the event.
Malkia Strikers have also had an unbeaten run throughout the whole continental showpiece. They opened their campaign against Rwanda where they won in straight sets.
They then proceeded to face-off against Burkina Faso where they also dominated and later extended their hot streak to win over Uganda, still in straight sets.
They then won 3-1 over Morocco before dominating their match against Lesotho to cruise smoothly to the quarterfinal where they won 3-0 over Nigeria. They also stunned home talent Cameroon to take top honours after winning 3-1 in the semifinal.
