The state will compete in eight events, Football (Male, Female), Basketball (Male, Female), Handball (Male, Female), Beach Volleyball (Male, Female), Hockey (Male), Cricket (Male), Rugby (Female), and Volleyball (Male).
The State's contingent is expected to depart for Ilaji Resort and Hotel Center in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Wednesday 16th-18th August.
Ogun State won 45 medals: 8 gold, 13 silver, and 24 bronze at the last Youth Games in Ilorin.
The Federal Government of Nigeria has initiated a National Identification Number (NIN) verification policy for Participating Athletes.
The NIN policy was announced at the end of the technical meetings between the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development officials, the Delta State Sports Commission, the local organizing committee, and technical directors from the 36 states and the FCT, Abuja.
The meeting also revealed the modalities to adopt for the Seventh National Youth Games to be hosted by the ‘Big Heart of the Nation’
