Nigeria will participate at the FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U-19 World Championship.
Nigeria's U-19 female volleyball team has qualified for the 2023 Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) Volleyball Girls’ U-19 World Championship in Croatia and Hungary.
The team finished third at the 2022 CAVB Volleyball Girls' U19 African Championship in Abuja.
FIVB congratulates Nigeria
FIVB has congratulated Nigeria for qualifying for the championship.
In a statement by Yiting Cao, FIVB Volleyball Department Project Manager; FIVB advised Nigeria to confirm her participation, complete the attached Entry Form, and return it by February 3rd, 2023.

Reacting to the development, the President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod, has said the championship will help develop the young players, who are in the best shape of their lives.
He added that the country will showcase its talents to the world.
He said, "Cameroon and Egypt placed first and second respectively at the 2022 2022 CAVB Volleyball Girls' U19 African Championship in Abuja where they booked their tickets to the World Championship.
"The slot given to Nigeria by the FIVB means we can showcase our talents to the world in Croatia and Hungary. The female players can also have the opportunity of being selected by scouts of foreign teams," he said
The 2023 FIVB Volleyball Girls’ U19 World Championship, will be held in Croatia and Hungary from August 1–11, 2023.
