Nigeria will compete for honors in seven games, including Track and Field, Swimming, Badminton, Judo, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, and Tennis.
South Africa, on the other hand, will be competing in 12 games with 123 athletes.
The team will be participating in Badminton, Fencing, Gymnastics, swimming, tennis, Basketball, Water Polo, Archery, Judo, rowing, Track and field, and diving.

South Africa is the most successful African country at the World University Games, in the previous edition, the country recorded a total of 2318 medals.
Countries that will be flying Africa's flag in Chegdu,Algeria, Angola, Ethiopia, Burundi, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde.
Others are: Equatorial Guinea, Congo, Gambia, Ghana, Comoros, Rwanda, Morocco, Mali, Mozambique, Uganda, Tanzania, and Zambia.
The opening Ceremony to herald the game will take place on Friday at the Dong'an Lake Sports Park. This will assist in highlighting the host country's cultural distinctiveness so that the rest of the world may witness the greatness of their culture.
