Nigeria's Teqball contingent depart for African Beach Games

The delegation, which is being headed by Mr. Abdul Bajeh, Head of Technical & Education of the Federation, is anticipated to arrive in Tunis by 9:20 am.

The Nigerian Teqball contingent to the African Beach Games Hammamet 2023, which consists of three athletes and a coach, departed from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Turkish Airlines for Istanbul-Tunis and Asky for Lome-Accra.

The delegation, which is being headed by Mr. Abdul Bajeh, Head of Technical & Education of the Federation, is anticipated to arrive in Tunis by 9:20 am.

Teqball Tour

Victor Ademoye Oyemade, ranked number one in Nigeria and number 31 in the world, will fight for a spot in the Men's Single at the upcoming World Beach Games, which will take place in Bali, Indonesia, from August 5 to August 12 of 2023.

Along with Funsho Funto Samson, Oyemade will compete in the Men's Doubles competition.

Samson will team up with Rashidat Bukola SALAU to compete in the Mixed Doubles competition.

Teqball Player in action

Abdul Bajeh, a seasoned and adaptable athlete, will use his extensive game expertise to make sure that the Nigerian team not only wins gold but also qualifies for the World Beach Games in Bali in 2023.

The Federation's President, Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, wishes the competitors luck in the competition and points out that Teqball is a very popular sport in Nigeria and across the continent.

Worthy of note is that Nigeria finished 2nd in the last African Beach Games held in Sal, Cape Verde in 2019.
