The games closed on Sunday, September 8th, with a vibrant and electrifying closing ceremony at the Stade de France. The event was marked by a festive atmosphere, featuring an electro-party featuring some of France's top DJs, including electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre and the duo Cassius.
Before the musical extravaganza, the 169 delegations paraded through the stadium to the tunes of beloved French classics, inspiring the spectators to join in and sing along.
The closing ceremony was a fitting end to a remarkable Paralympic Games. Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo handed the Paralympic flag to International Paralympic Committee President Andrew Parsons, who then presented it to the Mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass.
Notably, Bass became the first Black woman to receive the Paralympic flag during a closing ceremony.
