Randi expressed her envy of friends who live ordinary lives, unconnected to the fame of her eldest son, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes Jr., and her younger son Jackson Mahomes, a well-known social media influencer.

"I look at some of my friends on social media and I'm jealous that they have this normal life. Their kids are the same age as Patrick (28) and Jackson (24), and they have this normal situation and we don't. It's super difficult."

She elaborated on the impact of fame on her daily life, saying, "We just want to be normal and go and have dinner. We don't do that."

Randi also discussed the challenges fame brings to her work as an event planner, a career she has pursued for 20 years. "At my work, it's really hard because 90 percent of my phone calls aren't about work. I still go to work and want to live normal," she explained.

Living a normal life is challenging when your son has a $480 million NFL contract. Despite recognizing their blessings, Randi admits feeling overwhelmed by the problems fame brings.

"As much as I say we're blessed and Patrick's living his dream, it has been the hardest seven years of my adult life," she confessed.

"It's been really hard to juggle…being proud of him and the hate that you get and the kids get. I can't even explain how hard it's been. I've cried a lot. I struggle with it."

Randi Mahomes' candid reflections highlight the often unseen difficulties of living in the public eye, balancing pride in her children's achievements with the personal challenges that come with their fame.
