Stefanos Tsitsipas advanced to his fourth quarterfinals at the Australian Open, in thrilling clash against Jannik Sinner.

Greek tennis god Stefanos Tsitsipas defeated Jannik Sinner 6-4 6-4 3-6 4-6 6-3 in four hours battle to reach the quarterfinals for the fourth time at the Australian Open.

Tsitsipas let a two sets to love lead slip, resulting in Sinner taking the match to a fifth set decider in the epic clash.

The first two sets saw Tsitsipas play high quality tennis, in which he converted more of his break points.

In the third set, Sinner turned on the agression having many break points in his favour. With a dropshot, he finally breaks to go 3-1 up. A tough service game, but he holds to 4-1 lead, using the dropshot a lot to his advantage.

The Italian brilliantly won the set 6-3, to keep himself in the match. Sinner would start the fourth set with a 3-1 lead, while Tsitsipas was having to save break points in almost every service game.

A great game from Sinner, serving for the fourth set at 5-4, saw him turn it around and won it 6-5, sending the match into five sets.

With the fifth set underway, a massive hold from Sinner drew him level in the set at 2-2 from 0-40. Tsitsipas breaks first for 4-2, and another break point for a 4-3 lead.

With better serves, Tsitsipas consolidated a crucial break and went 5-2 in the deciding set, and eventually won it 6-3.

Champions stuff from Tsitsipas, who dug deep and raised his level when it mattered most.

In his on-court interview post-match, Tsitsipas said: "I stayed really calm like M. Rod Laver used to do in his day."
