Kenya Pipeline women’s volleyball club clinched the Confederation of African Volleyball Zone Five tournament after thrashing Rwanda Revenue Authority 3-0 in a hotly contested game played at the BK Arena on Sunday night.
The Oilers were unbeaten in the tournament where they were making their debut and middle-blocker Trizah Atuka has attested that there was a lot to learn despite the win.

She explained that playing in the tournament, they had a lot of pressure to deliver but they did not expect to carry the day after the hard-fought win.

Kenya Pipeline thrashed Ugandan side Kampala Capital City Authority 3-0 in their opening match.
"We like it and it has helped us to improve in so many things. We have learned a lot, especially from the Rwandan team. When we go back home, we shall not rest on our laurels. We are so happy to have won the tournament but it was very tough
"Winning this trophy means a lot to us since everybody at home was banking on us to impress and we are happy to have made an impact,” Atuka said during a post-game interview.

In their second match, Kenya Pipeline were also in a class of their own as they annihilated Rwanda Revenue Authority 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, and 25-13).
In their third game, they took top honours, thrashing the Rwanda National Police 3-1. They took the first set 25-16 before the Rwandan charge took over and claimed the second set 25-23.
