Kitende lived up to their billing to win all four gold medals in the sporting disciplines that they participated in in Huye, Rwanda, over the last two weeks.
Vipers and St. Mary’s Kitende proprietor Lawrence Mulindwa once again reassured his school team of his commitment to sports while receiving them from the just-concluded East Africa Secondary games.
Kitende lived up to their billing to win all four gold medals in the sporting disciplines that they participated in in Huye, Rwanda, over the last two weeks.
The former FUFA president assured his told his students and coaches that sport is ingrained in him, a reason why he has and still investing heavily in it.
Mulindwa’s comments were met by a rapturous reception from his audience when he likened his love for sports to beer and alcohol, which is synonymous with Uganda’s party vibe.
“You cannot separate me from sports because [it is my] sport is my alcohol…my beer. There are those who go to the bar to enjoy beer and have fun, but I become drunk and put [invest] in it,” Mulindwa reassured.
Kitende won record 14th and 18th titles in the boys' football and girls’ netball tournaments as well as girls' basketball 5x5 and 3x3 trophies.
