Miroslaw proved she's a force to be reckoned with on the speed climbing wall, storming to the first-ever gold medal in the event at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Speaking after her historic win, an elated Miroslaw said per CNN: 'A long story short, it's like a dream come true moment. It's as simple as that. It's the first [gold medal] in history, so it's really awesome. I'm really happy and proud of myself. It will be with me forever.'

Miroslaw has been the dominant force in speed climbing for most of her career, breaking the world record a staggering TEN times - including two times in two days in Paris 2024 before her epic victory.

Her latest record of 6.06 seconds is almost a second faster than the first set three years ago in the rescheduled Olympics held in Tokyo. And the Polish army woman now has her sights firmly set on dipping under the six-second barrier.

After a disappointing fourth-place finish in Tokyo when speed climbing made its Olympic debut, this gold medal triumph represents the realisation of a long-held DREAM for Miroslaw.

'I am not only an athlete, but also a soldier of the Polish Army,' she proudly declared in a video on social media.

And after storming to Olympic glory, the pride and joy on her face were there for all to see as she cemented her place in the history books as the first-ever speed climbing champion.
