Johnson said that athletes who competed in the qualifications from the previous year should anticipate fierce competition in Abeokuta as all of Nigeria's best players are anticipated to compete for slots at the Africa Para Games from 20 states.

Wheelchair Basketball gets multi-million naira sponsorship
The President, Seyi Johnson confirmed that the deal is with the Sports betting company, BetKing.
“Technical officials and the top Paralympic Committee of Nigeria (PCN) are going to be on the ground to witness the championship; this is to sure sign of the level of seriousness attached to it."
The widely-traveled sports official claimed that the Federation is working around the clock to ensure that the athletes' welfare is taken care of.

He said, "The board is aware of the challenges faced by the wheelchair basketball players; that is why the Federation has concluded arrangements to give accommodation to the participating teams.
“The board commended BetKing for partnering with the Federation organizing the National Championship", he added.
