Yainee Alonso career

Alonso received her pre-med degree from the University of Miami in December 2012; her brother was a student and baseball player there as well. She was a cheerleader for the Miami Marlins while she was a resident in Miami.

Alonso paid a visit to her alma institution in February 2023 and posed for photos with a University of Miami mascot. Alonso grinned alongside her husband and two children in the picture, which the mother of two posted on Instagram.

Yainee Alonso met her husband Manny Machado through her brother Yonder Alonso. When Machado was still a teenager in 2009 he met Yonder, the two baseball players met and quickly grew close.

In the winter of 2011, following their trip to Spain, Machado asked Yonder for permission to date his sister.

"I told him, 'Look, as long as you respect her and be there for her,' " Yonder told USA Today in 2013. "And whatever happens, just know if something happens between you guys we're still friends. We were friends before, and we'll be friends afterward."

Yonder Alonso was first taught how to play baseball by Yonder Alonso's father, Alonso. He then joined the MLB and played for several organizations, including the San Diego Padres and the Cincinnati Reds.

He acknowledged his sister and brother-in-law in a message on Instagram in November 2020 announcing his retirement.

"I do want to take this opportunity and thank my FAMILY - Mom, Papi, Sis, Manny, Pete. You guys are what made me," he wrote in the caption. "I love you guys! I'll try my best to keep it short and sweet, but those who know me know I can get emotional with this stuff. I can't thank all you guys enough."

In April 2021, the former first baseman joined the MLB Network's roster of on-air personalities as an analyst.

After his 2018 campaign with the Los Angeles Dodgers came to a close, Machado shared a photo of himself and his wife on the field and thanked her in the caption.

"Couldn't have done it without you by my side!!!" On her birthday in 2020, Machado dedicated an Instagram post to his "forever sweetheart."

"Happy birthday to the most beautiful amazing person in this planet, that I get to call my wife!!!!," he wrote in the caption. Wishing you nothing but continuous happiness and love forever I love you!!!!!!!! May all your wishes become reality!!!!! Forever my sweetheart."

Alonso walks the red carpet with her spouse as well. The two have gone to a number of MLB events together, including the All-Star Red Carpet Show in Los Angeles in 2021 and 2022.

Despite Machado's well-known work, the couple isn't a big fan of nightlife. Machado said to USA Today that he and Alonso liked to live nearby while they were still residing in Miami.

"People think, 'Oh, you're a big-leaguer, you live in Miami, you can probably go to any club you want,' " Machado said. "The truth is that we are boring. We don't really let people in. We've got a very close circle, and that's it. The baseball star continued, "For us, it's all about family."
