Lagos Inter-secondary Schools Rugby competition get kick off date
15 secondary schools will participate, with teams from both boys' and girls' battling in the U-15 and U-18 categories.
The University from Kenya won the championship that was held at the Makerere University, Kampala in Uganda From 6-8 October.
This was the final edition to be hosted by Makerere University having hosted it in 2019, 2021 and 2023. Each institution host the biannual event for three consecutive editions.
A total of seven teams took part in the Men's Kings of Africa Rugby7s ( FASU Rugby7s). These included USIU Africa, Daystar University, Kenyatta University from Kenya, Kyambogo University, Victoria University, Makerere University I & II from Uganda. The hosting institution Makerere University fielded two teams (Makerere University I & Makerere University II).
In the Women's event, only two teams featured and these were both fielded by the hosting institution ( Makerere University I and Makerere University II).

Ibudo Rugby Academy will represent Lagos at National Youth Games
The Youth Games are scheduled to be held in Asaba, the Delta State Capital, from September 7th–17th.
The men played a total of seven rounds played over Saturday and Sunday and the top two teams after the seven rounds met in the final that was played on Sunday at Makerere University.
Kenyatta University and Daystar University battled in the final with Daystar University won after defeating Kenyatta University 26-05.
The ladies played a total of four rounds, in the final round, Makerere University I defeated Makerere University II, 26-05.
The next edition of the FASU Rugby7s will be held in 2025 at the USIU Africa in Kenya.
