Kabras Sugar coach Carlos Katywa has revealed why his team has been hard to break after joining the Kenya Cup three-peat club by completing the season unbeaten.
Kabras Sugar coach Carlos Katywa has credited his team’s unblemished run in the Kenya Cup to the depth within his squad.
The sugar millers beat KCB 29-5 to win their third straight Kenya Cup title, joining the likes of Nondies, Impala, Kenya Harlequin and KCB themselves as the teams that have managed the three-peat since 1970.
Kabras are now unbeaten in 26 matches under Katywa and have won 28 in a row, having also silenced KCB in four straight matches.

Invincibles Kabras Sugar leave bitter taste on KCB to enter three-peat Kenya Cup club
Kabras Sugar dominated KCB in Kakamega to lift their third consecutive Kenyan Cup title.
It has been another formidable season for the Kakamega-based side but their coach is not surprised given what he has at his disposal.
“At the start of the season, we always start plus, minus 50 players,” Katywa told NTV. “We do not individualise our team, if [Jone] Kubu is not playing we have Lameck [Ambetsa], if he is not playing we have someone else.”
“This team is based on value-based principals so not just individuals. Not that we do not miss Kubu, he is a special player, but we do not individualise our team we play as a team collectively.”

RUGBY 'I need to re-energise' - Gibson Weru distraught after KCB rudely end Menengai Oilers' Kenya Cup dream
The former Kenya Sevens player has revealed he may not have the energy to go again in the Enterprise Cup after Menengai Oilers were beaten by KCB in the Kenya Cup semis.
Kabras took a 7-0 lead at the Kakamega ASK Showground on Saturday April 6 courtesy of Walter Okoth’s try which was converted by Ntabeni Dukisa.
A penalty and a try from Kevin Wekesa saw Kabras make it 15-0 before KCB were reduced to 14 men, handing their rivals a big advantage.
Dukisa would seize the moment to score a try which he converted for 22-0 but he would soon be sin binned, handing KCB a momentum of sorts which they used to score what turned out to be their consolation try through Vincent Onyala for 22-5.

RUGBY Former Kenya Lionesses star blasts KRU over 'ill treatment' of women's national team
Former Kenya Lionesses captain Sinaida Aura has slammed Kenya Rugby Union for not taking the women’s national team seriously following an outcry over delayed salaries.
KCB would have a man sin binned again but Kabras did not capitalise on their numerical strength until late on when Brian Tanga scored a converted try for the big win.
Despite the loss, KCB coach Curtis Olago was still delighted by the season his side have had.
“Kudos to the club and the boys for making finals every year. It is not a mean feat, it means our club is working hard. It is a transitional period but still making finals. It has been a massive season for us but we are still rebuilding,” said Olago.
