RUGBY Tisap Sevens: Business as usual for Kabras, KCB & Oilers as Nondies upset formbook
The leading trio had no major problems on the opening day of the Tisap Sevens in Eldoret but Kenya Harlequin, Nakuru and Homeboyz had it rough.
Mwamba have had an indifferent campaign so far, making Kabras hot favourites to advance to the semi-final for a fifth straight leg in this season’s National Sevens Circuit.
With the likes of Homeboyz, Nakuru and Kenya Harlequin falling by the wayside, Nondies set up a quarter-final meeting against Kisumu while Strathmore will face Blak Blad.
Nondies went through as group winners after downing Mwamba 26-19, having beaten Trojans 26-5 in their opener and added Nakuru to their list of casualties with a 21-5 win while Kisumu pipped Kenya Harlequins to second place in Group C.
Both sides have an opportunity to seal a memorable semi-final berth, something neither has managed in the recent past which will add to their motivation on Sunday.

RUGBY Kabras Sugar & KCB out to maintain lead at Tisap Sevens in Eldoret
Kabras and KCB are the favourites as they are separated by just two points heading into the penultimate leg of the National Sevens Circuit but rivals will be hoping to upset the formbook
For Strathmore, it is a routine quarter-final place although reaching the semi-final has proved a little difficult in the last two legs after a good start to the season.
However, Blak Blad’s relative inexperience at this level should work in Strathmore’s favour although they would be naive to underrate them given their impressive group stage run.
