Nondies have clawed back from the championship all the way to the semi-finals of the Kenya Cup at the first time of asking and want to go one better against holders Kabras.
Nondies coach Callum Oliver insists his playing staff are hungry to help the side return to its former glories as the oldest club in the country by sealing a Kenya Cup final place.
Nondies reached the semi-final by dumping out Kenya Harlequin last week, but are up against it when they face heavy favourites Kabras Sugar on Saturday.
Oliver, who managed the club back from the Championship and was targeting a playoff place at best, was elated to have reached the semi-final, and is keen to ensure that the club traces back its heritage to make more history.

RUGBY Triggered KCB boss Olago seeking to exert revenge on Oilers to clinch final place
Olago was far from pleased with his side's defeat to Menengai Oilers the last time they met and is itching to get one over the Nakuru-based side to make the Kenya Cup final.
“The club’s got a fantastic history. We are the oldest club in Kenya, so to be able to kind of live up to the former glories is important for the playing group,” Oliver said.
“It is a step. We will see what will happen (on Saturday March 23) but for now, we celebrate, and we will be thankful and we thank our sponsors.”
Oliver is grateful to their sponsors and the chairman for supporting the club when it went through a difficult time.
“Hemmingways have really stuck with us through thick and thin and to the chairman Auka (Gacheo) with his company Live Eye, they supported us through hard times when many other people would have left us," he added.

RUGBY Kenya Cup: Menengai Oilers boss reveals four aspects charges will have to dominate to overcome KCB
Menengai Oilers will visit KCB this Saturday itching to beat them and make the Kenya Cup final.
“For Hemingways and Live Eye, we are thankful.”
Meanwhile, the gaffer acknowledges that beating Kabras will be a tall order, but is quietly optimistic his boys are up to the task.
“It is going to be a hard one. They are not the best team in the country for no reason. They are incredibly well coached with an incredibly committed and skillful playing group,” said Oliver.
Nondies are yet to beat Kabras in their last 10 attempts.
The Kakamega-based team, led by coach Carlos Katywa, continued their winning streak with a resounding 40-0 triumph over the Rangers at the Impala Club in the second match of the 2023/24 season last December.
