Quins were comprehensively smacked by Kabras and KCB in their last two matches, and Murunga has asked his players to show more bravery.
Kenya Harlequin head coach Paul 'Pau' Murunga has blamed his side’s recent bad run of results against the most reputable Kenya Cup teams on failing to have the personality to handle high-pressure games.
Quins have played Menengai Oilers, Kabras Sugar and KCB respectively in each of their last three Kenya Cup games, with all of them their direct competitors for the 2023/2024 trophy.

RUGBY Kenya Harlequin boss Paul Murunga issues postmortem after KCB mauling
Murunga has revealed stagefright cost his charges big time in their heavy loss to KCB in a Kenya Cup clash played on Saturday.

“We have two games left. If we are able to play well and make sure that we win, then we finish third or fourth and host a pre-semis before qualifying for the semi-finals.

RUGBY KCB put Kabras Sugar on notice as another epic Kenya Cup final looms
KCB RFC have started stocking up the fires ahead of a likely Kenya Cup final duel with bitter rivals Kabras Sugar following another dominant season by the two.
Murunga has asked the players to look at themselves in the mirror and show more grit and determination against sides of such magnitude moving forward if they are to win the Kenya Cup.
“There is a possibility of striking that balance but it is more down to individual players, maybe they are not able to handle big games.
“You could see most of them when they come in or when they start, they cannot handle big games, so from it, is to pick first players who can handle big games and make sure that we are able to maintain the tempo.
