RUGBY: Shujaa vice captain Onyala shows the way back World Rugby Sevens Series
The KCB captain has expressed frustration at the previous regime’s tendency to make impetuous changes to Shujaa regularly, which has tended to leave it lacking cohesion, making it a regular punching bag at the World Series.
“It is an amazing time for us as a team and the entire setup. We survived by a small chance, the boys put up a spirited fight. It is a good feeling for the boys.
Some of them have been here and some are new here. It is a different environment for the boys. I think we are all happy. The win against Homeboyz gave us a huge step forward. It was a good Saturday for us,” Bunda said.
Kisumu have their work cut out as they face the bankers, who have been unstoppable since the series started in Kisumu last weekend.
KCB finished top of the pool with three wins, 22-0 against Nondescripts, 45-5 against Blak Blad, and 17-5 against Nakuru.
