Kenya Shujaa sealed a place in the all-important play-offs final against Canada this weekend despite losing 14-10 to Uruguay in the ongoing HSBC World Sevens London Series in Twikenham on Sunday afternoon.
Shujaa came into the fixture knowing that a win or draw would have been enough to put them in the play off final against Canada.
The game was super tight in the first half with neither side getting in each other's final third.
Kenya won a penalty in the last five minutes of the first half with every moment " a real decider".
Uruguay came closest to opening the score just before the break and eventually broke the deadlock before half time through Bautista Basel which was well converted.
Uruguay scored their second try through Philipe Teres four minutes before the end of the second half which was well converted.
Kenya got a try of their own through Alvin 'Buffa' Otieno after tearing down the left flank which was well converted.
Uruguay's hearts looked broken after they made an error with 42 seconds left. Kenya won a penalty after the restart which they converted to seal a place in the final against Canada tonight.
