Walukuba Barbarians won their first Nile Special National sevens circuit after putting away Black Pirates 19-12 in the Mileke 7s final in Tororo on Sunday.

Captain Edward Emiemu wrong-footed a defender to cross the line moments later, but, again, Paul Bogota answered almost immediately to tie the game 12-up.

Walukuba had the last laugh in the final minute of the game after a good run by Emiemu but dropped the ball where it mattered most. However, Gift Wokorach slid through and touched down and dealt with the extras to give the Jinja side a seven-point lead as the referee blew the final whistle.
Black Pearls beat Avengers 21-7 in the ladies' final to edge closer to the championship.
Wokorach and Emily Lekuru were named the respective most valuable players of the season.
