Chido Obi-Martin, a striker for Manchester United, scored the first goal in the Under-18s' 3-0 victory over Stoke City to celebrate signing his first professional contract.

Before James Scanlon and Dante Plunkett secured the points in the closing minutes, the Danish youth international gave United the lead with 71 minutes remaining by converting a penalty.

Obi-Martin, who has already scored in both of his previous Under-18 matches, sent the goalie reeling from a penalty kick.

Obi-Martin, who turned 17 on Friday, was permitted to sign his first professional contract at Old Trafford.

After joining United from Arsenal in the summer, the striker signed a scholarship with the understanding that his professional contract would start when he turned 17.

Shortly after putting United ahead, the striker was taken off the field and Victor Musa took his place with 76 minutes remaining.
