Anthony Joshua celebrates birthday with new photos with Wilder fight pushed back
Anthony Joshua shows growth on social media with new photos.
Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom claims that the finance for the event has been thrown off due to some managerial changes in Saudi Arabia involving the executives in charge of sports.
Despite landing in a different place, Hearn remains driven to make that fight in 2024.
However, Wilder is not convinced that Joshua is ready to proceed with the fight.
In an interview with Blue Blood Sports TV, Wilder branded Joshua afraid and threatened to go visit him in the UK.
He said, “I just don't know what's up with Joshua. Maybe I'm gonna have to go to England and sit down with him on some real man sh!t…
"I don't want him to feel like I have anything against him, but I know he's afraid of me. Joshua, me and you is the biggest fight in the world bro, what are you doing? I really wanna talk to that dude.
Having not competed in a while, Wilder's most recent bout occurred in October 2022 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he stopped Robert Helenius in just one round.
Joshua has been much more active on his end with two fights already this year.
When Joshua entered the ring again in April, he defeated Jermaine Franklin via unanimous decision after twelve rounds.
In August, he returned to action and defeated Robert Helenius, a late replacement, via knockout.
Although Anthony Joshua had hoped to have his third bout happen in December, it is more likely that he will get into the ring in early 2024.
