The newly appointed Super Eagles has promised Nigerians 2026 FIFA World Cup ticket
Gusau at the ceremony held inside the MKO Abiola National Stadium's Media Conference Room that he is impressed by Chelle counting on him to instill the Super Eagles with the same drive and determination to improve their results in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying series.
Gusau revealed that if the tactician leads the Super Eagles to the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, he will have a two-year contract with a one-year extension option.

Along with her three colleagues, Chelle will collaborate with the team on the ground to improve the Super Eagles' reputation.
He will solely serve as a supervisor for the Super Eagles B, who are getting ready for the 8th African Nations Championship.

Eric Chelle pens love letter to Nigerians
Eric Chelle after the press conference took to social media to send a letter to Nigerian football fans.
In the message on his official Instagram account, Chelle explained that he is already hard at work to ensure the Super Eagles qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

He said, "Dear Nigerians, It is with immense honor and profound humility that I assume the role of head coach of your national team, the Super Eagles.
"I want to express my gratitude for the trust that has been placed in me, and let me say this: I am ready. We are ready.
"Nigeria is a nation of passion, talent, and pride. Here, football is not just a sport—it is a flame that unites millions of hearts across the country and the diaspora. I feel this passion, and it is now mine as well.
