During the draw on Saturday in Santo Domingo, Bankole Olowookere's team was placed in the same group with the hosts, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and New Zealand.
Throughout the qualifying campaign, the Flamingos were unstoppable. They won 12-0 overall against the Central African Republic (CAR), 7-1 against Burkina Faso, and 6-1 overall against Liberia to secure their eighth World Cup qualification.
Olowookere and his team will be looking to advance further after placing third in the most recent competition in 2022. Africa has yet to produce a world champion at this level.

Kenya and Zambia will be the other African teams competing in the competition, although Nigeria is without a doubt the most successful U17 squad on the continent.
