Manchester City defender Manuel Obafemi Akanji says he likes to help Nigerian kids, and talks Afrobeats.
The defender for Manchester City and the Switzerland national team was crowned the first Footballer fits cover star of 2025.

In a detailed video with Footballer Fits, Akanji went viral with his change of designer clothes.
Akanji who has a Nigerian tattoo does not forget his roots on the African continent.
In the interview, Akanji talked about his favorite Afrobeats stars with the sound taking over the world music scene.
Akanji praised Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, known professionally as Burna Boy who he teamed up with at the Champions League final.
Others he mentioned are Ahmed Ololade, known professionally as Asake and Stanley Omah Didia, known professionally as Omah Lay.
He said, “I feel like you can listen to Afrobeats all the time.
"I could put it on every day in the car, at home or even with my kids.
“My top three artists? Burna Boy, Asake and Omah Lay.
"My most played song would be Lonely at the Top by Asake.
"He’s doing unbelievable music and I think he’s a really great artist.”
Omah Lay has stated his intentional to help kids in Nigeria and continues to do celebrate Nigerian music.
Akanji was born to a Nigerian father but chose to represent Switzerland at international level.
