Singer Nina Kankunda, better known as Nina Roz, could have used her towering height and slender physique on the netball courts had she pursued her 'first love' to the end.
Roz revealed while visiting the Uganda women's senior netball team the She Cranes in Kamwokya where the team is holding its preparations for the July-August World Cup in South Africa.
"I came here because I'm just like you,” Nina Roz said before adding.
“I am a woman who likes to support fellow women. I'm a big fan of She Cranes, and I have loved netball since I was in school, even before music.”
"Even before music, netball was part of me. I know there is power in unity, and together we can. Thank you for your good work for the country. It's a huge sacrifice,” she added.

Roz shared light moments with players and the camp's technical staff and words of motivatin in Kamwonkya where the She Cranes are holding their non-residential training sessions.
Head coach Fred Mugerwa summoned 30 players on his provisional list for the World Cup, with 27 players locally based and three plying their trade in the much-coveted Vitality Netball Super League in the United Kingdom.
