Harmony Chidi bagged a hat-trick as the Flamingos of Nigeria defeated Cote d’Ivoire 3-2 in their 2nd group game at the WAFU U-17 Cup.

Boniface, Animashaun, Chidi 22 Flamingos invited by coach Olowookere for WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup in Ghana.
The team led by Bankole Olowookere was able to dispatch their rivals in their second group game played on Monday, December 16, 2024.
The Flamingos came into the game with a comprehensive 9-0 demolition of Niger Republic in their first group game to start the tournament.
The Ivory Coast team were also flying high coming into the encounter with a 5-0 win against Niger Republic.
In the game, Harmony Chidi was the difference maker for the Flamingos.
The youngster was able to score all three goals for a hattrick as the Flamingos recorded a 3-2 victory.
Despite the loss Kaholo Claire Elvyre Zaddy of Cote d’Ivoire was voted woman of the match.
The result means that the Flamingos take the top spot in group B and qualify for the semifinals of the WAFU B U-17 Girls Cup.
The Flamingos in the semifinal will now take on Benin Republic who finished second in Group A.
Cote d’Ivoire in the other semifinal will take on tournament hosts Ghana.
