Ahead of the game between Nigeria and Libya, Super Eagles forward Victor Boniface and Taiwo Awoniyi hold hands.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are set to take on the Mediterranean Knights of Libya in a Matchday 3 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.

The two teams are battling for maximum points to help their cause of making it to Morocco next year.

Nottingham Forest star Awoniyi and Bayer Leverkusen target man Boniface are competing for the starting center forward spot in the absence of Galatasaray goal poacher Victor Osimhen.

The team observed their customary walk before every national team match.

During the walk, Awoniyi and Boniface were spotted holding hand in the snap story of their teammate Ola Aina.

The video was received in jest by Nigerian football fans as they urged them to get all three points against Libya.

Boniface was given the starting nod ahead of Awoniyi by Interim head coach Augustine Eguavoen for Nigeria's game against Libya.

The Super Eagles take on the Knights of Libya at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Friday, October 11, 2024 kick off at 5.PM Nigerian time.
