Nigeria vs Libya Match Preview
The Super Eagles of Nigeria are in strong shape as they aim to qualify for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) after going undefeated in their first three group games.
Nigeria won their first game 3-0 over the Cheetahs of Benin Republic.
They then played out a goalless draw away with the Amavubi of Rwanda in the second game.
In their third game, they recorded a narrow 1-0 win against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.
Libya, on the other hand, sits last in Group D of the qualifying tournament with just one point.
They drew their first game at home against Rwanda and then suffered a narrow 2-1 loss against Benin Republic.
In their third game, they continued their struggles with a 1-0 loss to Nigeria.
However, they have a chance for revenge and to improve their performance with the second leg against Nigeria.
Officials for Nigeria vs Libya 2nd leg
The Super Eagles and Mediterranean Knights of Libya will play a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match on Tuesday at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Benina close to Benghazi.
Following a controversial goal by Ademola Lookman dismissed by Malawian referees in the first leg, there will be officials from Cape Verde in the reverse fixture.
The Confederation of African Football has named Delgado Santos Rocha Lenine, a Cape Verdean, as the referee in charge.
His fellow countrymen Djêry Gomes Lopes will serve as assistant referee 1 while Jorge Santos Fonseca Aritson will serve as assistant referee 2.
Burkina Faso's Hamidou Diero will serve as the fourth official.
The commissioner will be Somalian Amir Abdi Hassan, while the referee assessor will be Malian Dramane Dante and the security officer will be Algerian Rachid Medjiba.
Time and where to watch Nigeria vs Libya
The second leg between Libya and Nigeria will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, and kick off at 8 PM local time.
It will be available to watch in Nigeria on NTA Sports 24, AfroSport TV and beIN SPORTS CONNECT.
