Kanu celebrates carrying the Olympic torch
Kanu took to social media to remind Nigerians that he once carried the Olympic torch.
The Nigerian was a torch bearer at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, United Kingdom.
He posted a photo on his official social media platforms along with a message.
He said, "KAN U BELIEVE IT? The 2024 Olympics have kicked off in #paris ✅ Did you watch the opening ceremonies? What was your favorite moment? #olympics2024 #olympictorch #legendary.

His wife Amara Kanu responded with a message that said, "I watched it last night King K. Snoop Dogg and the torch was a vibe 😀🙌🏾."
Kanu made Olympic history when he led Nigeria to Olympic gold in the men's football event of the 1996 edition in Atlanta.
This comes after Kanu featured in a Lagos-themed Arsenal away jersey for the new season.
