Quincy Promes is currently trending amid rumours he is set to welcome a child with his ex-girlfriend DreamDoll.
DreamDoll, the Bronx-born rapper and actress, has broken her silence after widespread reports linked her pregnancy to ex-Netherlands international Quincy Promes.
On January 2, DreamDoll whose real name is 'Tabatha Robinson', announced her pregnancy via a clip on her Instagram page, to kick off the New Year, sparking online speculation about the child’s paternity.
She wrote while announcing her pregnancy on Instagram:
"2024 has been a year of challenges, growth, and preparation. It reshaped me, taught me how to set boundaries, and helped me recognize what I allow into my life.
"But now, I’m stepping into 2025 with so much excitement for this new chapter becoming a mother.
"This has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember, and now, I’m living in the beauty of this incredible gift. There’s a promise with my name on it, and I’m embracing it with open arms."
Many fans assumed Promes, her former partner and convicted footballer, was the father.
However, DreamDoll took to X (formerly Twitter) to react to the rumours, posting a now-deleted message that read: “LOUD & WRONG.”
It remains unclear whether her comment addressed the rumours of her alleged involvement with a married man or claims that Promes is the father.
The controversy follows a tumultuous past for the pair.
DreamDoll defended Promes in early 2024, denying he was ever married while they were dating, despite online evidence suggesting otherwise.
Their widely-reported relationship went viral after they celebrated DreamDoll’s 32nd birthday in Dubai.
However, the stunning rapper is yet to confirm the father of her unborn child amid the online chatter.
Quincy Promes: From stardom to scandal
Promes’ life off the pitch has been mired in controversy.
Once celebrated as a winger for Spartak Moscow, Sevilla, and Ajax, his career came to a halt after multiple legal issues.
In 2023, he was sentenced to 18 months in prison for stabbing his cousin during a family gathering and ordered to pay €7,000 in damages.
Further investigations uncovered his involvement in drug trafficking, leading to a six-year prison sentence in 2024.
The court found Promes directly linked to 1,360kg of cocaine shipments from Brazil to Europe in 2020.
Adding to the intrigue, Promes’ current fiancée Nissa Michelle, has reportedly wiped her Instagram clean amid DreamDoll’s pregnancy announcement as well as rumours of her own pregnancy.
Eagle-eyed fans on social media, noted she removed her engagements from a post of Promes gesturing with a ‘baby celebration’ recently after scoring in a game for his Dubai club, intensifying speculation.
Promes signed for Dubai United as a free agent in the summer of 2024 after being released on bail.
