Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade wants Nigerians to believe ahead of 2nd leg in South Africa.

As the team prepares to take on the Banyana Banyana in Pretoria on Tuesday night, Captain Rasheedat Ajibade has urged Nigerians to have faith in the Super Falcons' ability to secure a spot in the Women's Olympic Football Tournament in France.

The Super Falcons depart for South Africa on Sunday night.

Nigeria defeated the visitors by a single goal thanks to a penalty kick by Ajibade on Friday in the first leg in Abuja. However, there is still everything to play for in the return match in the administrative capital of South Africa.

The Atletico Madrid star claims that the team would be driven to triumph by the knowledge that more than 200 million Nigerians have everlasting faith in them.

Speaking on the game she said, “We are not under any illusions. It is going to be a big and tough fight.

Before leaving Abuja for Lagos on an Air Peace trip to connect with their departure to South Africa on Sunday night, the players practiced on the grounds of their hotel on Saturday morning and at the MKO Abiola National Stadium on Sunday morning.

Nigeria, the nine-time African champions, will land in Johannesburg early on Monday before traveling to Pretoria for an hour. By 6.30 p.m. Nigerian time on Monday, they are expected to have their official workout at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
