On Saturday, January 4, 2025, Valencia confirmed the move for the 27-year-old striker.
Umar was unveiled and will spend the next six months at Valencia with an option to buy him at the end of the season.

Speaking to the Valencia website, Umar talked about the decision to the club.
He said, “When I started talking to Miguel I realized that there was a lot of coincidence between Valencia CF and me because there is a lot of sports hunger in me.
"I have also seen that due to the situation of the Club it is also very hungry."
Umar then discussed an injury concerns about his playing time since return from surgery.
He added, “I suffered this knee injury. Before I was at my best, but now I feel 100% physically, what I need is continuity.
“As a forward, what I want is to score goals and have the best possible results.”
Umar has not been in fantastic form ever since he returned from his long-term injury.
In La Liga, Valencia is presently ranked 19th and are facing a battle to avoid relegation.
