Ahead of the international friendly matches against Mali and Ghana, Super Eagles stars storm Marrakech, Morocco.

Ten players have reported to the Super Eagles camp in Marrakech, Morocco, ahead of the international friendly matches against the Black Stars of Ghana and the Eagles of Mali. The three-time African champions are starting to get ready.

This was confirmed earlier on Tuesday on the Super Eagles of Nigeria's official X Twitter, where it was announced that today will be the team's first training session under new head coach Finidi George.

The players in camp include Cyriel Dessers, the Rangers attacker who is back in the lineup after missing the recently finished AFCON in Ivory Coast, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey of Fulham, and Semi Ajayi of West Bromwich Albion.

Other players include Moses Simon, Nathan Tella of Bayer Leverkusen, Jamilu Collins, Bruno Onyemaechi, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Stanley Nwabali of Chippa United, who was the team's best player at the most recent AFCON.

African Footballer of the Year Victor Osimhen will not play in the match because of an injury that his team announced on Monday.

Tyrone Ebuehi, a defender based in Italy, will also not play in the friendlies as his Empoli team announced that he will be sidelined for the whole of the season due to a recent injury.

Ademola Lookman, Sadiq Umar, Taiwo Awiniyi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Frank Onyeka, Wilfred Ndidi, Alhassan Yusuf, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Francis Uzoho, Olorunleke Ojo, Kenneth Omeruo, Chidozie Awaziem, and Benjamin Tianimu are among the others expected to join.

The two exhibition matches vs the competitors from West Africa are scheduled for March 22 and 26, respectively.

It will help the team prepare for their June 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against South Africa.
