In an attempt to secure their first victory of the year, Betis came into the game with a strong game plan.
Tenerife dominated the first half of play, and Monday Gift headed a Pisco cross that was saved following a nice move on the left flank.
Both teams advanced to the halftime break level as Rinsola Babajide attempted a shot in the opposite area that went wide.
A nice play by Costa Adeje Tenerife Egatesa on the right wing early in the second half resulted in a cross from Aleksandra Zaremba, which Monday Gift finished off with an incredible effort for the game's lone goal.
Rinsola Babajide was dangerous on the left wing and a persistent threat, but her crosses never found a finisher.

Three clear opportunities to seal the victory for Tenerife fell to Sakina Ouzraoui, Gift Monday, and Aleksandra Zaremba, but the home goalkeeper made multiple saves.
Babajide was substituted for Maria Jose Perez in the 70th minute while Monday Gift featured for the entire duration of the game.
Gift and Babajide return to action when Tenrife goes home to take on Levante at the Adeje Municipal Stadium in their next league fixture scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2024.
