All but one of Nigeria's participants at the 2024 Paris Olympics have all been eliminated. Fatimo Bello is the only Nigeria table tennis player remaining.

Nigeria's table tennis campaign at the Paris 2024 Olympics has come to a premature end with the defeat of Offiong Edem in the women's singles round of 64.

Edem suffered a 4-0 loss to Brazil's Bruna Takahashi, following in the footsteps of Quadri Aruna and Olajide Omotayo, who were eliminated earlier in the competition.

Pulse Sports reported that Omotayo kicked off Nigeria's table tennis woes with a 4-1 defeat to Iran's Noshad Alamiyan, while Aruna endured a heartbreaking 4-3 loss to Romania's Eduard Ionescu after squandering a 3-0 lead.

The Two-time Olympian started on a good note, winning the first set 11-6. However, the Iranian player quickly gained the upper hand and won the following two sets: 11-5 and 1-4.

Omotayo showed promise in the fourth set, narrowing the gap, but Alamiyan ultimately prevailed 10-12 and secured the match with an 8-11 victory in the final set.
