Considered one of the most flamboyant Indian athletes, Achanta is eagerly looking forward to the tournament as part of preparations for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

India is sending a powerful contingent, including their highest-ranked player (world number 40) and a WTT Contender Lagos semifinalist from 2023.

They'll be joined by Manav Thakkar and Sathiyan Gnanasekaran in the men's singles.

The women's side will be led by India's top player, Manika Batra (world number 24), known for her unique long-pimple style.

Sreeja Akula, a vital member of India's Olympic qualifying team, will be joined by Yashaswini Ghorpade, Archana Kamath, and Sutirtha Mukherjee.

Meanwhile, South Korea have its sights set on defending its title, with Shin Yubin, the 2023 WTT Contender Lagos champion, leading the charge. Ranked number 7 globally, Yubin is eager to secure her first WTT Series win of 2024.

India's challenge is strong, with Manika Batra posing the biggest threat to Yubin's reign. Sreeja Akula, currently in red-hot form after clinching two WTT Feeder Series events this year, is another player to watch.

Akula, ranked number 41, has a golden opportunity to make a significant leap and claim a WTT Series title.

South Korea's Shin Yubin, winner of the 2023 WTT Contender Lagos, aims to repeat her success.

WTT Contender Lagos 2024 offers up a total prize pool of $80,000 as well as 400 ITTF Table Tennis World Ranking Points for the champions.
