The Confederation of African Volleyball (CAVB) has announced Egypt as the host for the 2023 Men’s African Nations Championship.
The event is planned to run between August 28 and September 10 and will be held in the Egypt capital Cairo.
“We have the pleasure to inform you that CAVB has entrusted the Egyptian Volleyball Federation with the organization of the 2023 Men’s African Nations Championship to be held in Cairo, Egypt, from August 28 to September 10 2023,” a letter sent by CAVB to different federations reads.
Some key dates regarding the championship include August 28, the arrival date, and August 29, the day of the technical meeting.

Jakarta Bhayangkara Presisi is an Indonesian men's volleyball team owned by the Indonesian National Police and based in DKI Jakarta.
The competition will then run between August 30 and September 9 to allow teams to depart on September 10.
The letter added: “National federations desiring to participate in the above competition may commence planning with the above dates. All pertinent information and forms shall be circulated in the next few days.”

Uganda, coached by Shilla Omuriwe, finished fifth and will be looking to break into the top four this time around.
