Kenya Pipeline Company has given the Kenya Volleyball Federation a shot in the arm as it plans to celebrate its 50th anniversary with a volleyball extravaganza.
As part of its 50th-anniversary celebrations, the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) has forged a significant partnership with the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) to sponsor a three-day volleyball spectacle titled the "KPC@50 Volleyball Extravaganza."
Scheduled from Friday April 5 to Sunday April 7 at the Kasarani and Nyayo Stadium volleyball courts, this tournament promises to be a riveting showcase of talent, camaraderie, and celebration.
It will feature top-tier men's and women's national league teams, along with a thrilling showdown among retired volleyball legends from the national league.

During the sponsorship cheque handover ceremony, Dinah Kirwa, KPC's Human Resource & Administration General Manager, emphasized the company's unwavering dedication to sports promotion and youth empowerment.
"This three-day volleyball tournament rubberstamps our commitment to transform the lives of the youth in Kenya through sports promotion as a viable source of livelihood and national pride," said Kirwa, whose company has sponsored the event to a tune of Ksh1.3 million.

KVF boss Charles Nyaberi hailed KPC as a dependable ally in the federation's mission to cultivate volleyball at all levels, from grassroots initiatives to elite competition while expressing confidence that the "KPC@50 Volleyball Extravaganza" would inspire future stars and contribute to the ongoing growth and excellence of the sport.

Kenya Volleyball Federation has been criticised for choosing to reject a programme that has improved Malkia Strikers at the expense of personal gain ahead of Paris Olympics.
Notably, KPC has demonstrated its commitment to volleyball through its flagship women's volleyball team, Kenya Pipeline Volleyball Club, established in 1984.
The club boasts an illustrious record, with seven gold medals at the African championships and numerous victories in the Kenyan Volleyball League.
