In the women's tournament being held in Hammamat, Tunisia, the Oilers and the Bankers silenced AJD Diofior and Nigeria Customs respectively.

Kenyan teams Pipeline and KCB booked a slot in the quarterfinals of the women's African club championship that is being hosted in Hammamat, Tunisia after winning their third respective matches on Thursday.

Pipeline were the first team to book the slot after beating AJD Diofior of Senegal 3-0 (25-17, 25-12, 25-16).

The Oilers had hammered CO Descartes of Ivory Coast 3-0 (25-11,25-9,25-11) to finish top of Pool C unbeaten.

Pipeline coach Paul Gitau made two changes in the starting lineup that won against CO Descartes, bringing in middle blocker Triza Atuka for Yvonne Sinaida while Leonida Kasaya came in place of left attacker Daisy Kipkorir.

"So far so good. I'm extremely happy with the players' performance, but the real work awaits us. We are determined to go all the way to the final and that's why we are cautious about our opponents as the championship shapes up," Gitau told reporters in Tunisia.

Meanwhile, Defending champions, KCB became the second team to book a quarterfinal ticket after they topped Nigeria Customs 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-15).

The Bankers highlighted their ability and dominance, and NCS lost their way early for a relatively straight road to victory for Japtheth Munala's coached side.

KCB used the experienced players led by captain Edith Wisa s to dominate throughout the match using the tall centers in the block.

The Bankers had sailed to the quarters after finishing top of Pool B, where they saw off National Alcohol Liquor Factory of Ethiopia 3-0(25-20,25-12,25-9), Cameroon's Nyong 3-0 (25-07,25-20,25-16) and Asca Salitigue of Senegal 3-0(25-11,25-13,25-15).
