The 4-time WWE champion made a damning confession after being gifted a Dortmund jersey ahead of Bash in Berlin.

Ahead of WWE’s Bash in Berlin, wrestling superstar Sheamus made a surprising confession after receiving a special gift from Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. 

The Irish WWE star and four-time world champion was thrilled when Borussia Dortmund’s captain, Emre Can, presented him with the club’s 2024/25 season home shirt. 

The moment was captured in a video uploaded to the club’s official Instagram account, where Sheamus expressed his appreciation for the gesture, saying, “I appreciate that. I’m honoured. Thank you.”

While donning the black and yellow jersey for the first time, Sheamus couldn’t hide his excitement.

The 46-year-old Dublin native revealed his admiration for the Bavarian team, specifically highlighting his support during their Champions League campaign.

Dortmund fell to a 2-0 defeat against Real Madrid in Wembley in the Champions League final on June 1, in whar was an all-round impressive European campaign for the German giants.

“First of all I wanna say to you... I was rooting for you guys [Dortmund] against Real Madrid in the Champions League. You guys played an awesome game. Great tournament all the way to the final, I love the story,” Sheamus said

. He then made a bold statement that quickly caught the attention of football fans: “I really, really hate Real Madrid.”

This marks Germany’s first time hosting a WWE pay-per-view event, bringing an electrifying lineup to the historic city. 

The event will see world heavyweight champion Gunther defending his title close to home, just a short drive from his birthplace of Vienna, Austria. 

Gunther will face off against ‘The Viper’ Randy Orton, who aims to secure his 15th world title.

The action-packed card also includes major bouts like CM Punk versus Drew McIntyre in a strap match, and a mixed tag team showdown featuring Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley against Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan.
